VPJについて

Background

 

VPJ was established in 1994 by members of Silicon Graphics Japan, Inc. The founder and president, Hiro Mimura, is one of the original employees of Silicon Graphics Japan, Inc. As Director of Sales and Marketing, he contributed greatly to the growth o the company. In his eight years at SGI Japan, he took Japan sales from $0 to $160mm USD, establishing more than 100 VARs and ISVs, five distributors, and an OEM.

The other founding member of VPJ, Satoshi Seki, shares a common background in SGI Japan, where he was a sales manager focused on CAD-CAM for the electric and automotive industries.

VPJ began as a system integrator focused on the image processing field, drawing on the experience and market knowledge they had cultivated. At first they focused on the printing industry, later adding network functionality, and now offer an integrated DTP workflow solution. In the meantime, VPJ has developed a solution for the video and film industry, built around 3DCG and non-linear video editing. The growing importance of digital content has dramatically increased with the arrival of broadband and digital broadcasting. VPJ has built workflow solutions for the video and film industry as well as the DTP field.
